Registered Nurse Job Details

- Location: Bridgeport, Connecticut 06606 (Connecticut nursing jobs)
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025 – End: 1/6/2026)
- Shift: 12-Hour Days (AM)
- Hours per Week: 36
- On-call: 12-24 hours per 6-week schedule
- Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday as needed
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2360 - $2420
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active RN license (Connecticut RN license preferred for local candidates)
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery or Postpartum nursing (experience with both patient types strongly preferred)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred
- C-EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) certification preferred
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including electronic fetal monitoring and documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Provide patient education and support to mothers and families throughout the childbirth process
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC EMR
- Participate in on-call rotations and work every other weekend/holiday as required
